Summary
CIMA FLORIDA, LLC was created in 2018 to offer caulking, cleaning and assessment of mid- and high-rise buildings’ window systems and facades. We use a Rope Descent System (RDS) to access difficult areas and minimize noise and visual impact, with no electrical drivers.
We are a fully insured company and warrant our work to the convenience of our clients. As a quality driven company, we strive to deliver valuable results supported by professional reports. These reports help our clients make decisions to define scope, time and budget to execute projects.
Advantages of the rope descent system

Reduce the duration of works: there is no need to move heavy equipment (swing stages/ boom lifts, cranes, etc.) around the building to access the facade in the whole elevation, especially when access to heavy equipment is limited.

Increase productivity: the installer does not leave the work until a whole drop is complete while descending from the rooftop to the ground level, covering 20 floors or more before exiting the daily job.

More detail oriented: installers work less than 2 feet from the surface of the facade, which allows them to see details consistently to provide a high-quality finish, especially in corners and areas with difficult access for swing stages and boom lifts.

Safer operation: human errors are substantially reduced while operating the RDS because the operator is fully responsible for his safety, compared to swing stages that require two operators to safely operate the motors to go up or down.

Low cost equipment: a typical RDS consists of two ropes, a boatswain’s chair, a descender, a rope grab, a full-body harness, a lanyard, and a suction cup, which is cheaper than renting a heavy swing stage, that requires two motors that consume energy and may cause delays if they are out of order.
